RITUALS – The Ritual of Sakura

2024年にリニューアルされたRitualsのベストセラーコレクション「Ritual of Sakura」と「Ritual of Yozakura」。今回はグローバルローンチに伴い、新ビジュアルのアートディレクションを担当しました。

各県を転々としながら、満開の桜を追いかけた撮影の旅。セットづくりで大切にしたのは、Ritualsのブランドらしさを体現しながらも、日本の桜文化が持つ本来の美しさや空気感を損なわないこと。

桜の花びらの散らし方から、アンティークの和家具の選定、地元の工芸品の取り入れ方まで、細部にこだわり抜いたひとつひとつの積み重ねが、各商品の魅力をより深く引き出してくれました。

It was a tremendous honor to lead the Art and be part of the Japan team that brought to life Rituals’ newest and most beautiful collection: the Ritual of Sakura and the Ritual of Yozakura.

Our journey took us across prefectures, where we eagerly chased the blooming Sakuras with the primary focus on styling and creating sets that not only reflected the essence of the Rituals brand and universe but also upheld the authenticity of this cherished Japanese tradition.

With meticulous care and attention to detail, we curated every aspect, from the delicate Sakura petals to the choice of antique Japanese furniture and local crafts. Each element was thoughtfully selected to enhance the beauty of the locations and ensure the products stood out in their splendor.

This experience of creating enchanting scenes with professionals from around the world is one I will forever cherish as truly magical.
